Workplace pensions law has changed.
Every employer in the UK will be required to help more of their workers to save for their retirement.
Employers will need to automatically enrol certain workers into a pension scheme and contribute towards it.
The date from which the new law applies to your company is called your ‘staging date’
You will receive a letter from the Pensions Regulator notifying you of your staging date.
Your staging date is based on the number of persons in your largest PAYE scheme as at 1 April 2012. This is based on the HMRC information held by the regulator on that date.
Understanding when these duties affect you is important.

Delaying is not an option
The pensions market is extremely busy as all employers need to comply. We would urge you to not delay in taking action. You will need to act at least 6 – 9 months before your staging date.
